Yes, students and educators will gain exceptional, top notch training, but they'll also leave with a clearer understanding of their true selves, an awareness of their strengths and weaknesses, and the ability to build the skills to navigate their journeys.
The intensive brings the highest level of talented faculty to propel student and educator success. Guest faculty arrive with accomplished resumes, experience teaching, and a commitment to mentoring.
BroadwayEvolved knows that when both students and educators are trained in complimentary models, the potential is limitless.
Through this unique approach, Betsy and Cynthia create environments for students and educators to not only transform, but uncover new levels of depth and confidence. While working in two separate industries, Betsy and Cynthia have combined their professional expertise and personal passions to establish the groundbreaking BroadwayEvolved.
BroadwayEvolved was created and founded by Broadway and Education professionals –
Betsy Wolfe and Cynthia Rose
Having both been raised by teachers, heavily influenced by their arts teachers, and also currently teaching on their own, Betsy and Cynthia realized that they possessed the perfect combination of skills, artistry, and experiences to shatter the outdated models of student and educator preparation.
While they met in the most unpredictable and yet predictable way, at the stage door of “Waitress” where Betsy was starring...they quickly began a professional relationship.
BETSY WOLFE / CO-FOUNDER
Betsy Wolfe has established herself as one of the most versatile and keenly intelligent Broadway performers of her generation. Most recently seen in the Tony nominated musical Waitress, where she gave a multi-faceted performance as Jenna, a woman struggling in an abusive relationship. Prior to that, she played Cordelia, one of the lovable “lesbians from next door,” in the Broadway revival of Falsettos, directed by James Lapine, which recently aired on PBS. She is perhaps best known for her critically acclaimed performance as Cathy in the Off-Broadway revival of The Last Five Years. While most known for her belt, Betsy was classically trained and got to flex both muscles while she performed the role of Ida in Die Fledermaus at the Metropolitan Opera at night, while rehearsing for the Broadway show Bullets Over Broadway during the day. She can be heard on the recordings of Falsettos, Bullets Over Broadway, The Last Five Years, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Everyday Rapture, Stage Door Canteen, 35MM, and Merrily We Roll Along. She can also be seen in the film adaptation of The Last Five Years.
Originally from California, Betsy received her BFA in musical theatre from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. At age 20, she made her Carnegie Hall debut with The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and just a couple months ago marked her third headlining solo performance with The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall. She has performed with over 40 different symphony and pops orchestras including The Chicago Symphony, and recently returned from London having performed with the highly acclaimed BBC Orchestra. A daughter of two educators, while not performing she has always been passionate about young performer development. She has led masterclasses and workshops around the United States and has maintained a small group of voice students specializing in early stage belt development/correction. As the Co-Founder of BroadwayEvolved her passions and talents have found a great purpose.
