COLLEGE UPDATES.

BE alums are attending universities around the world studying musical theatre, acting, and/or music.

Here are just a few of the schools…

PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS.

I auditioned for my first Off-Broadway show and it went so well. I felt so prepared and didn’t doubt myself for a second. When I got in that audition room my BE training kicked in! I also got into CCMs summer musical theater program. Finally, I got cast as Charity in Sweet Charity! None of these accomplishments would have been possible without BroadwayEvolved. Truly the best week of my life.
I just finished a run of Guys and Dolls, I’ve started working with Alexa Green who I met through BroadwayEvolved, and I got awarded a selective Design Fellowship at Trinity College. On my acceptance letter, one of the admissions officers wrote: ‘I especially enjoyed reading about your experience at BroadwayEvolved!’ So I am VERY grateful for this experience and how it changed me as a college applicant.
I had the great experience of playing Ariel in The Little Mermaid this spring (luckily before everything shut down). I auditioned with one of my BroadwayEvolved songs, and felt super confident in my audition, which is something I had never experienced! I used the same song for my college auditions, and was accepted to my first choice, which is super duper exciting. BroadwayEvolved has guided my path to the future in such a great direction. I’m so grateful to you Betsy and Cynthia for creating such a special and life changing experience, and I’m also grateful to my mom for letting me make the investment that changed my life and gave me a worldwide theatre family!!
I absolutely believe I could not have gotten through the prescreening/audition process without my trusty BE notebook filled with reminders of all the knowledge I gained from my experience at BroadwayEvolved. It gave me so much motivation to keep going in the difficult times when I felt a bit discouraged in the process. Along with my exciting callbacks, I also attended a number of different auditions for other schools and conservatories at New York Unifieds in January! I treated every audition as an incredible learning experience, even if I didn’t get into certain schools, and I had so much fun while doing so.
I’m currently in rehearsals for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Olive! I received a distinction for my London College of Music (LCM) Music Theatre Grade 8 Exam and will be doing my Diploma exam in two weeks! Couldn’t have done it without BroadwayEvolved - thank you so much ❤️
I got into Interlochen Arts Academy and will be attending in the fall for my senior year of high school!!
I just finished my run as Maria in The Sound of Music!! I seriously could not have done it without all of the things I learned at BroadwayEvolved. There were quick pieces of advice, like Christy Altomare telling us not to be hungry before an audition, and then stuff that I’m still trying to figure out how to do, like Santino Fontana’s quarter illustration...I think that’s gonna take a while.

I’m also so much more comfortable with presenting who I am in auditions and in self-tapes, which is great bc I’m sending in a lot of those rn!! I’ve become much less scared of how I sound and more like, ‘Well I’ve done the best I can do, so I just need to put it away and let the casting director do their job.’

College auditions were crazy, but I used Good Times Are Here to Stay as one of my songs because of the reaction I got at BroadwayEvolved!! Hearing Andrew Keenan-Bolger’s thoughts and ways I can make it better combined with how supportive everyone was about my voice brought a joy that came into every single time I performed that song. It was incredible.I also feel so much more prepared for literally anything that comes my way, whether that is college or moving to NY or something else!! BroadwayEvolved made my dreams become a tangible future.

Thank you guys for teaching me so much and giving all of us such wonderful opportunities. I can’t express how meaningful those days were.
I got cast as one of the leads in my school musical and was accepted to an acting camp at UCLA :)
Just happy that I get to be in this field, all because of you! Thank you for encouraging me! All of us BE kids have kept in touch through the entire college process. A few of us met up at Chicago unifieds, 4 of us were at a Carnegie Mellon audition together, some of us met up in NYC while auditioning too. So I have had an amazing support system! Literally could not have done it if I had not gone to BroadwayEvolved.
